We build the whole stack
Airframes, rovers, electronics, autonomy, and analytics are engineered under one roof. When the hardware and the software are designed together, the system does more than anything assembled from off-the-shelf parts.

Altax Technologies Inc. designs autonomous machines for the air and the ground, plus the systems that make them useful. Our origin in applied robotics research is why the work holds up in the field.
Origin
EST. CANADA · ROBOTICS · AUTONOMY · SYSTEMS
Altax builds autonomous machines for the air and the ground, plus the computing systems that make them useful.
The company grew out of more than ten years of applied robotics and autonomous-flight research: control, sensor fusion, and computer vision worked out on real hardware, not slideware. That heritage is the difference. Whether the job is a drone, a ground rover, custom electronics, or the servers behind them, the work is grounded in genuine engineering rather than repackaged off-the-shelf parts.
It means we understand the full chain: from the physics of a slung load, to the depth camera on a rover, to the companion computer and the server that processes the mission. We control that chain end to end, so the answers we return are ones we can stand behind.
What makes us different
Airframes, rovers, electronics, autonomy, and analytics are engineered under one roof. When the hardware and the software are designed together, the system does more than anything assembled from off-the-shelf parts.
Our methods come out of applied robotics research: control theory, sensor fusion, computer vision. Every deliverable is measured, validated, and repeatable, not a best-effort screenshot.
Imagery is the raw material, not the product. We return counts, maps, models, and defect reports: quantified outputs that feed a decision, not a folder of photos to sort through.
When a job falls outside the standard toolset, we engineer for it: bespoke robots, electronics, payloads, and algorithms. Hard problems are where our research heritage earns its keep.
The founder
FOUNDER · ALTAX TECHNOLOGIES INC.
Aldo's background is in autonomous systems: control theory, computer vision, and the research that lets a machine think for itself, in the air and on the ground. Altax is the result of a simple conviction: that this kind of work belongs in the field, not just in the lab.
He founded Altax to turn hard-won research into practical robotics: machines that run themselves reliably and hand back data people can actually use.
Capabilities at a glance
The approach
Frame the problem, model it, and prove the method before anything is built.
Engineer the robot, electronics, and autonomy the mission actually requires.
Autonomous, repeatable operation in the air, on the ground, and in the field.
Turn the captured data into quantified answers you can act on.
